One day you wake up and look out of the window with sleepy eyes and you notice that the whole world around you is clean white! First thing you think is there enough snow to make a snowman, or snowangel, shall I have a romantic but unexpected snowball fight or of course you want to take the first footsteps on the street which are filled with a bed of snow. That last part was defenetily on our mind! Let's have a quick breakfast make coffee, grab our hiking shoes and go!
Let's take a deep breath and look around.. Nature is wearing her winter coat. As the sun is shining you can hear the snow melting from the trees, our first footsteps in the snow are crunchy and wild! As Silent Hikers, ofcourse we have made a movie about this beautiful white landscape. A movie about the landscape where we grew up and lived for several years. A movie which we hadn't got so far, so it really felt like a gift!
Step into the quiet winter landscapes of the Dutch polder together with us, meet us where wide open fields, frozen waterways, and falling snow creates a world of stillness. The polder in snow feels timeless and untouched. Wind across the fields, distant birds, and the slow rhythm of walking turn this hike into a meditative journey.
